Jones. “Been to the movies lately? When you see a movie, you see the actors—but actors are only part of the picture. A director helped it come to life. A cameraman put it on film. Electricians, carpenters, property men, film cutters—hundreds of folks were in the act—all working together to bring you the finished product. No, the actors alone can’t make a movie—it takes teamwork to produce it. It works the same way in our company, too. Warpers, weavers, dyers, finishers, shippers—all of our team, working together—combining our efforts—creates a brighter picture for all of us.” {Photos courtesy of Judson-Roberts Company.) Vacation With Pay Set For July 4 Week Monday, July 4, through Sun day, July 10, is the time set for one week’s vacation with pay. The heavy demands on produc tion may make it necessary to operate many of the looms dur ing this period. Within the next few days employees of the Weav ing and Warping departments will please notify their foreman if they can help us by working during this vacation week and receiving their regular pay in ad dition to the vacation pay. We will no doubt need a few addi tional employees in other depart ments and your foremen will dis cuss this with you. For all departments except Weaving and Warping, the mill will be closed for one week’s va cation starting Monday, July 4, and will reopen Monday, July 11, 1955. The mill will be closed in all departments on Monday, July 4. Employees who have worked at least one year immediately prior to two weeks before the time set for vacation are eligible for va cation pay. The vacation check will amount to one week’s pay on the basis of a normal 40 hour week. The hourly rate effective two weeks before the time set for vacation will be multiplied by 40 hours for determining the amount of the vacation check. Vacation checks will be distri buted on July 1, and regular pay- checks for earnings for week end ing July 2nd will be distributed on Friday, July 15, 1955.
